Our 8-Week Summer Session begins June 20-26 and you can see the schedule here and register through this site under "Registration". We'll be working with the 'Kazoo' song collection with all-new music and activities. Registration for the following locations happens here on this website: Blaine, Edina/SW Minneapolis, North Oaks, Stillwater and St Paul. Registration for all other locaitons happens through our respective Parks & Rec or Community Ed partner websites. The easiest way to find where to register is to go to "Registration" on this site and choose the class you want. When you click on 'Register", it will link you to the right place on the partner website.
Outdoor classes: We have three outdoor locations this summer: Oak Hill Park in St Louis Park (Thursday 9 and 10 am classes) and the West Rec Center in North Oaks (Wednesday 4 pm class), and Portman Community Center in Duluth (Monday 9:15 and 10:15 am and 4:15 and 5:15 pm classes).
Curious about our classes? Register for a free demo class between sessions to see what all the excitement is about! You're also welcome to come to one of the classes of the spring session as a demo class. These are under "In-Session Demos."
Summer song collection: We'll be using the crazy fun 'Kazoo' song collection this summer which features some of Music Together®'s greatest hits.
Tuition in most locations is $174 for the first registered child in a family and $96 for each additional sibling 8 months or older at the beginning of the session. Infant siblings under 8 months at the beginning of the session attend at no cost with a registered child.
Why Join Us for Our Summer Session?
• Children have a natural aptitude for music that blossoms in a sufficiently rich music environment, the kind that Music Together provides in class and supports at home. Children can learn to sing and dance as naturally as they learn to walk and talk if parents/caregivers model music making—and participating in Music Together classes makes this easy.
• Young children learn through play and experimentation and by watching and listening to the grownups they love, but parents don’t need to have music skills; they just need to be willing to play and have fun with their children!
• Our research-based curriculum not only develops music skills, it nurtures creativity, self expression and confidence while also supporting social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development.
• Our mixed-age classes enable siblings to participate together, creating an ideal learning environment where infants, toddlers and preschoolers can freely participate at their own levels.
• Music Together song collections have outstanding arrangements that are fun, sophisticated andl oved by children and grownups alike. The music includes a delightful mix of both original songsand traditional tunes from the folk, jazz and world music genres in a wide variety of tonalities and meters, providing a rich buffet of ‘ear food'.
We hope you'll join us for our Summer Session!
